"Give every day the chance to be
the most beautiful day of your life."
Before my family changed drastically through a loss in 2012, I felt stuck comparing myself to others. Did I bring the right bottle of wine to a party? Did I wear the wrong outfit to an event? But, after that season with my family, my perspective changed.
None of those things mattered anymore.
The relationships I have became priority and our photographs became a way of reflecting and rejoicing in my heritage and those relationships. That gift is what I seek to give you. Photography is how I wish to show you: look at what you have with your loved ones— it is so special! Savour the small, unhurried moments together. Nothing is more important than what you have right now.
Anytime we can get away as a family is a good day. I like to title these outings as family adventures. This builds the excitement for something that can be as simple as picking strawberries or as crazy as watching Josh skydive!
On our list for this year we have:
- Pumpkin Picking
- Three days at a cottage
- Beach Days
This is a fairly new love of mine that has developed over the past three years. I was never an avid reader but as soon as I discovered a few authors I loved I was hooked. This is my list for 2017 and I am excited to dive into these and learn and grow from
what they have to teach.
Anyone that knows me is aware that I do not like coffee but that I LOVE hot chocolate.
This is my go to drink when I want to sit down with a cozy blanket or when I am meeting with clients.
This is why I usually end up with three or four tubs of it for Christmas - come on over for a cup, I have plenty!
Growing up we would always make a point to go out for hikes, camping or to a cottage. We would spend time on the water, exploring for salamanders or climbing up mountains (really just big hills but as a
kid they were mountains!).
Being in nature allows me to clear my mind of all the clutter and focus in on what is important, what isn't there to love?
